Tour of New Delhi

The tour to Imperial Delhi will include a visit to the Qutub Minar, the tallest stone tower in India. Qutub-ud-din Aibak started it in 1199. Pulling down 27 Hindu and Jain temples and using their columns erected the attached Quwwat-ul-Islam mosque also built by him. Then visit Humayun’s tomb, built by the widow of the second Mughal Emperor, Humayun, it is an outstanding monument in the Indo-Persian style, a precursor of the Taj Mahal. The tour also includes a drive past the imposing India Gate, the Parliament building and the Rashtrapati Bhawan, the President’s residence.

Note: Humayun’s tomb is closed on Monday.

Tour of Old Delhi

The area around Red Fort in North Delhi, is part of the historic city of Shahjahanabad, built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the 17th Century. Now known as Old Delhi, it remains largely unchanged in its historic ambience and walking through its narrow lanes will take you back to an earlier time. We first visit Rajghat, the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi and National Gandhi Museum. The final stop of the tour is the visit to Red fort (Lal Qila). Built during the reign of Emperor Shah Jahan was a residence to the royal family.

Note: Red fort is closed on Monday.

Delhi Agra Delhi:
Morning Depart from Delhi at 7AM, for Agra. Reach Agra, visit “TajMahal” which was built by the Mughal Emperor Shahjahan as a memorial to his wife, MumtazMahal. After her untimely death, Shah Jahan had her mortal remains buried in this mausoleum. And after his own demise he was placed to rest next to his beloved queen in the same mausoleum. Under the dome, below the ground level, in a dimly lit chamber, lie the mortal remains of Shahjahan and his beloved queen Mumtaz, reminding the world of their undying love. After visiting Taj Mahal, proceed for Lunch around 2 pm, later visit to Agra fort, within a radius of 3 kilometers, on the banks of the river Yamuna, rises the crescent like Agra Fort. Designed and built by Akbar in 1565 A.D., the fort is surrounded by a 70 feet high wall. It houses the beautiful Pearl Mosque and numerous palaces including the Jahangir Mahal, Diwan-i-Khas, Diwan-i-Am and Moti Masjid.

Return to Delhi around 8-9 pm .

Delhi –Jaipur - Jodhpur - Udaipur - Pushkar - Delhi

Day 01–Delhi to Jaipur - (Approx 280 Km & 5 hours drive )

Arrive Jaipur, check in at the hotel in Jaipur, freshen up, and post lunch proceed for Hawa Mahal which is one of the most common and popular tourist attractions in Jaipur. Hawa Mahal was basically used as a veil by the royal women folk to watch the proceedings on the road. Later, evening is free time for shopping – enjoy buying traditional Rajasthan stuff for decoration, dresses etc. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 02 – Jaipur
Morning excursion to the enchanting Amber Fort, enjoy the Elephant ride. Amber Fort was once the capital. It is another famous tourist attraction in Jaipur. The Amber Fort was built by Raja Man Singh in the 16th century and was completed by Sawai Jai Singh in the 18th century. In the afternoon weave through the lively streets of the Jaipur City and visit City Palace, one of the most beautiful landmark that was built by Kachchwah Rajput rulers of Jaipur. The City Palace is a classic example of Mughal and Rajput architecture. A part of the palace today is museum that houses a collection of rare manuscripts, weapons, Mughal carpets and costumes, and Mughal and Rajasthani miniatures. Next comes Jantar Mantar makes another wonderful sight to visit. Built in 1718 by Sawai Jai Singh, Jantar Mantar Observatory is one of the five observatories that were built by the king. The observatory was built to study the movement of stars. The observatory is built in stone and marble. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 03- Jaipur – Jodhpur (337 kms & 6 hrs Appx)
After early morning breakfast, leave for Jodhpur. Afternoon visit to Meharangarh Fort, This fort is one of the largest fort in India. The fort is situated at an altitude of about 125 metres and is spread over an area of 5 sq km, with seven gates. It has been a witness to the splendor of the bygone era, post that we will proceed to visit Jaswant Thada built by Sardar Singh in1899 in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh.Later in the evening you can take a stroll down the markets of Jodhpur Overnight at the hotel.

Day 04- Jodhpur – Udaipur (250kms & 4 hrs appx)
Morning, leave by road to Udaipur, formally known as the city of lakes and Venice of East. Udaipur, the capital of the former princely state of Mewar is a beautiful city in Rajasthan, India. Upon arrival check in at the hotel. Evening enjoy Boat ride on Lake Pichola & later proceed for local shopping. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 05- Udaipur
The City Palace museum, Vintage Car Meuseum, the Jagdish temple, Sahelion Ki Bari (Queen’s resort for their friends) and the Pratap Memorial lastly. Later back to hotel. Rest of the day free for leisure. Overnight stay at hotel in Udaipur.

Day 06 - Udaipur – Pushkar (275 kms & 5 hrs appx)
After early morning breakfast at the hotel, leave by surface for Pushkar, on arrival check into the Hotel. Evening visit to Pushkar Lake is another important attraction of Pushkar and it has immense significance for the followers of Hinduism according to legend the lake was dedicated to Lord Brahma. The lake at Pushkar is called Tirtharaj which means king of all holy places. Most hindu temples. Most Hindu temples have a holy lake of river where devotees are supposed to take a dip to purify themselves before entering the temple.
Overnight at the hotel.

Day 07 - Pushkar to Delhi(400 kms & 7hrs)
After morning breakfast, drive to Delhi for onward journey or drop at the Hotel

Depart for Agra at 07: 30 AM. Reach Hotel in Agra and check in to the Hotel. Time to freshen up.

Day 02 - Agra to Jaipur (Approx 230 kms – 4.5 hours drive ) en-route visit to Fatehpur Sikri -(optional )
After early morning breakfast (07:30 AM to 08:30 AM), leave by surface for Jaipur, on arrival check into the Hotel. In the afternoon we proceed for half day city tour of Jaipur.
